A few quick answers to the questions I get most, and a spot to ask me anything I haven't covered.

How do I put the guide and my AI side by side?

This is the trick that makes everything easier. You keep the guide open on one half of your screen and your AI on the other, so you are never flipping back and forth. It works best on a computer.

On a Mac
  1. Open the guide in one window and your AI in another.
  2. Rest your mouse on the little green dot in the top-left corner of one window. Don't click. Just hold it there for a second.
  3. A menu pops up. Choose Tile Window to Left of Screen.
  4. Left-click the other window when it appears on the right. Now they sit side by side.
On Windows
  1. Open the guide in one window and your AI in another.
  2. Left-click the top bar of one window and drag it hard to the left edge of your screen until it snaps to that half.
  3. Left-click the other window when it appears on the right. Done.
  4. Shortcut: hold the Windows key and tap the ← or → arrow.
On an iPad
  1. Open the first app, like the guide.
  2. Tap the three dots at the very top center of the screen.
  3. Tap the Split View button. It looks like two rectangles side by side.
  4. The app slides aside. Tap your second app to open it next to the first.
  5. Drag the black bar in the middle to give each side more or less room.
On an Android tablet
  1. Open both apps once so they're running.
  2. Open your recent apps. Swipe up from the bottom and hold, or tap the recents button.
  3. Tap and hold the little icon at the top of the app's card, then tap Split screen.
  4. Pick your second app. Now they share the screen. Drag the divider to balance them.

On a phone the screen is really too small for two things at once. If that's all you have, read the guide on the phone and do your AI work on a computer or tablet when you can.

How do I copy a prompt and paste it in?

The guide is full of prompts you can hand straight to your AI. You don't retype them. You copy and paste.

Select the text first
  1. Left-click right before the first word, hold the mouse button down, and drag to the end of the prompt so it turns blue.
On a Mac
  1. Copy: Cmd + C
  2. Paste: left-click in your AI's message box, then Cmd + V
On Windows
  1. Copy: Ctrl + C
  2. Paste: left-click in your AI's message box, then Ctrl + V

How do I download and save the guide?

When you buy or grab a free guide, it comes from Gumroad as a PDF.

  1. On the guide's page, left-click the Download button.
  2. It saves to your Downloads folder. That's the same folder on a Mac and on Windows.
  3. To find it later, open Finder on a Mac or File Explorer on Windows, and left-click Downloads on the left.
  4. Double-click the file any time to open it. It's yours to keep.

Help me make the guide better

Went through a guide and something tripped you up, or you wish it covered more? Tell me. This comes only to me, it isn't a public review, and it's how the guides keep getting better.
